Adargiza de los Santos

Feste

Adargiza De Los Santos is an Afro-Latina of Dominican descent, from Brooklyn, NY. You can also catch her on I Love That For You, Better Things, Bosch, Diary of a Future President, Shameless, Code Black, Castle, Criminal Minds, and working opposite the legendary Helen Mirren in HBO's Phil Spector. This is Adargiza's 3rd time performing Shakespeare and all have been at Idle Hour. She recently embodied Lady Capulet with a mostly femme and femme presenting cast, in an abridged version of Romeo and Juliet, directed by the uber-talented Mary Ann Pianka of The Combined Forces. Lastly, she made her Shakespearean debut playing Witch 2 and Ross in The Scottish Play directed by our fearless leader Alice Dranger. She is very thankful to her friend Shey Lyn Zanotti, who convinced her to jump feet first into The Scottish Play, having never performed Shakespeare before. A bounty of thanks to the amazing Alice Dranger and Open Door Shakespeare, for the opportunity to embody these multilayered characters. Adargiza has completely fallen in love with Shakespeare, all over again. She looks forward to continuing to make live theater accessible to the masses.

Shey Lyn Zanotti

Malvolio

Shey Lyn Zanotti is an actor and producer committed to amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities. She believes that our stages and screens should accurately reflect the faces and bodies around us instead of only a chosen few. In the indie film I Was A Teenage Wereskunk she had the opportunity to play the plus sized love interest of the main character for the first time. The film earned praise from the LA Times and earned Shey Lyn a spot in Pop Horror's 2017 list of favorite indie horror actresses. She can be seen in the upcoming feature Hillhead and in Starter Pack on Facebook Watch, as well as in Vincent Haycock and Florence + The Machine’s The Odyssey. Now producing films as well, Shey Lyn firmly believes that representation matters and looks forward to changing the face of film one project at a time by seeking out and standing behind projects that wouldn't normally get seen in Hollywood onto the screen.

Arun Storrs

Sebastian

Arun double majored in Theater and Ethnicity, Race, and Migration at Yale University, performing original works at the Baryshnikov Art Center with the Yale Dance Theater program. She created original works as part of NYU's EMERGENYC inaugural program for young artists of color and starred in the indie-comedy horror bromance, Ninja Zombies (released domestically and internationally). Most recently, you can see her at Tribeca and on Amazon in the fall in the short film Amina (Executive Produced by Lena Waithe) and as you scroll through your preferred social media showing off some upcoming top-secret Google Meet technology. www.arunstorrs.com

Sami is thrilled to be back with Open Door Shakespeare! After graduating from UC Irvine with a drama degree, she moved to Los Angeles and began work in indie films. A favorite role so far of hers includes co-starring in the thriller Hide, directed by Hanelle M. Culpepper. Several films she's acted in have had multiple festival runs, including co-starring in the award winning short film Night at the Movies. Sami also enjoys training in archery and combat for film/tv, writing, singing, and voice over work. Growing up doing numerous plays and musicals in San Diego, she absolutely loves this blend of music and Shakespeare, and is so excited to help bring it to life with this cast. Enjoy and have a blast!
